Charlotte Lucy Hodgson

About Charlotte

Charlotte grew up in the local village of Saxthorpe and has recently moved back here from London.
Charlotte attended Gresham’s School in Holt up until GCSEs and then moved to Ampleforth College in North Yorkshire where she studied Art, English & History for A Levels. She then went on to complete a degree in Ancient History at Royal Holloway University of London (RHUL), in Surrey. There was no art department at RHUL so she had a break from creativity and only got back to pursuing her passion for painting whilst working in London. She used her painting to escape the chaos, hustle and bustle of London life and this is also where she made the transition from acrylic to oil on canvas.
During a brief stint at the Booja-Booja Company, a few colleagues encouraged her to start doing commissions and before long, she started to do commissions for friends, friends-of-friends, colleagues and acquaintances.
Not one to sit around, she is now training to be a Building  Surveyor and attending a part-time degree in Building Surveying at Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford.
Charlotte is available for commissions on a first-come-first-served basis and subject to other commission commitments and her degree. She charges a one-off, non-refundable deposit to cover materials and after, a timed, hourly-rate.
All paintings are in oil on canvas and take around four months to complete.
Greetings cards with prints from some of her paintings are on sale in the Wallflower & Wallace gallery in Heydon.
